The qualification is delivered over 78 weeks in total, including 54 weeks of training and assessment spread over 6 terms of 9 weeks each, and 24 weeks of holidays.
The total course fee is AUD $24,000.00, plus a non-refundable enrolment fee of $300 to be paid on application. Non-tuition fees may also apply and can be found at www.ctic.com.au. Course fees do not include computer software or textbooks, which are to be purchased at the student's own cost.
International students must have an IELTS score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of being educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, or successful completion of an English Placement Test. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted if results are confirmed to be equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
Students are required to attend 14 hours of training and assessment per week and complete structured self-study of 6 hours per week, totalling 20 hours per week.
Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into the ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology or higher education qualifications in information technology.
