About This Course

The Diploma of Information Technology (Advanced Programming) with Diploma of Information Technology (Back End Web Development) at Holmesglen Institute of TAFE is designed to provide students with advanced programming, software development, and back-end web development skills required for today's fast-growing IT industry. This dual qualification equips students with practical knowledge in modern programming languages, web technologies, cloud computing, database management, and software application development. Students gain hands-on experience using industry-standard tools and technologies including C#, ASP.NET, Python, JavaScript, MySQL, AWS cloud services, Visual Studio, GitHub, and Node.js. The course combines technical learning with real-world industry projects, allowing students to develop, test, and implement software solutions for business environments. Through collaborative capstone projects, students work in teams to design and deliver applications that meet client requirements while developing professional communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Flexible HyFlex delivery allows students to study on campus or remotely through WebEx, providing greater convenience and accessibility.
