This qualification is delivered over 52 weeks, including 40 weeks of training and assessment spread over 4 terms of 10 weeks each and 12 weeks of holidays.
Students must have an IELTS score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence such as successful completion of a foundation course in Australia, at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO, education for 5 years in an English-speaking country, or successful completion of an LLN test. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted if confirmed equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
This program is delivered in the classroom and through structured self-study at two campus locations: Sydney Campus at 95 Bathurst Street, Sydney NSW 2000, and Adelaide Campus at 97 Pirie St, Adelaide SA 5000.
Assessment will occur through a variety of methods, including projects incorporating role-plays, case studies and short answer questions. Assessment conditions will ensure a simulated workplace environment, with tasks reflecting real life work tasks, performed within industry standard timeframes, assessed using assessment criteria relating to the quality of work expected by the industry, and utilising authentic workplace documentation.
Yes, students may apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning). The granting of course credit may affect course fees as well as the duration of the course.
