About This Course

The BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management empowers graduates to apply advanced knowledge, practical skills, and experience across a wide range of enterprise and industry contexts. You will learn to display high-level initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing, and monitoring your own workload and the workload of your team. While this is a foundational business qualification, the training includes practical exercises that can be contextualised to suit those managing businesses within the horticulture and agriculture sectors.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Academic: There are no formal entry requirements for domestic students.
Academic (International): International students must have successfully completed Year 12 (or equivalent).
English Proficiency: Have an IELTS score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old).
English Proficiency (Alternative): Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or completed at least 12 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO.
English Proficiency (Other tests): Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
General: All candidates must be proficient in word processing, calculating financial ratios, and accessing the internet.
Equipment: Students must have access to a laptop or computer, reliable internet connection, and a financial calculator.
USI: A Unique Student Identifier is required by the government for recognised training.

Is there an option for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to reduce my study time?

Yes, prior to enrolment, a self-assessment of your existing business skills will help expose opportunities for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which may reduce your course time.

What are the English language requirements for international students?

International students must have an IELTS score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of being educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, or by completing at least 12 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted, provided results are confirmed to be equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
