Diploma of Leadership and Management

BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management provides training and skills development in the functions of business and the environment in which business operates at a management level. The course gives an overview of well-developed managerial skills, builds the knowledge to manage the work of others and add value to or review management practices, and develops the interpersonal skills essential for a managerial career.

Across its 12 units of competency (4 core, 8 elective), students cover developing and using emotional intelligence, managing operational plans, leading effective workplace relationships and team effectiveness, managing budgets and financial plans, managing quality customer service, supporting recruitment and induction, project work, risk management and workplace policy development.

Delivery is 70% face-to-face classroom instruction and 30% online. Graduates commonly move into roles such as office manager, business development manager or accounts manager, with a pathway into the Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
