Common Questions
The program is delivered over 52 weeks, with actual student contact hours being 20 hours per week for 40 weeks. It has been divided into 4 terms of 10 weeks each with 12 weeks of holidays.
Students whose first language is not English must provide proof of English language competency through one of the following: a current IELTS score of 6.0 total or above with no band lower than 6.0; proof of completion of an Australian qualification in English language of one year or longer duration; successful completion of an approved English for Academic Purposes course meeting IELTS 6.0 equivalent requirements; or a successful score of Upper Intermediate Level on the School's English Language Placement Test.
The course is delivered in a blended mode: 75% face-to-face trainer-led sessions with in-class experiential activities, and 25% online via Moodle-based assessment tasks. Assessments are competency-based and include written questions, case studies, and practical assessments. Students are marked as either Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC), and have three attempts to demonstrate competency before a unit re-enrolment fee applies.
