Diploma of Leadership and Management

The course is offered full-time and has a duration of 52 weeks, delivered at the Brisbane Campus located at Level 6, 119 Charlotte St Brisbane QLD 4000.

All students must be at least 18 years old at the time of course application, and successful completion of Australian Year 12 or the Australian/overseas equivalent is mandatory. Students are also required to complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) test as part of the enrolment process to ensure they have the ability to complete the course.

The course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting for 20 hours per week. Assessment methods include written assignments, written and oral questioning, observation, and work-based projects. Learning styles are catered to by using whiteboard illustrations, multimedia presentations, oral instructions with handouts, and interactive learning through role plays, case studies, and supervising the practical implementation of skills.

Yes, an application can be made for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) when the student believes they have already attained the necessary skills and competencies elsewhere (work, other study etc.) or have an equivalent qualification or part of a qualification. The institute also recognises AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other RTOs and grants credit towards an award where applicable. The application for RPL and/or Credit Transfer should be lodged prior to or immediately after enrolment.

Graduates can pursue roles such as Transport Manager, Distribution Centre Manager, Information Services Manager, Corporate Services Manager, Public Sector Manager, Senior Manager (Public Sector), Office Manager, Legal Practice Manager, Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, Business Development Manager, Production Manager, and Business Manager across industries including Business Administration, Logistics, Purchasing and Procurement, Government Service Delivery, Warehousing and Storage, and more. Students can also enrol in Australian Universities to continue and pursue this career path.
