The course is delivered over a period of 52 weeks, equating to 36 contact study weeks plus 16 weeks for holidays.
The course is delivered on a blended basis at 20 hours per week, comprising 14 hours face to face in the classroom plus 6 hours of online study.
To enrol, students must be 18 years of age or over, have satisfactorily completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, and have an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or complete and pass the HIA English Assessment.
Assessments vary from unit to unit and may take the form of an open book theory assessment, activities, questioning, assignment, project work, practical activities in a simulated work environment, role plays, case studies, presentations, written reports, or a combination of these methods. Students are provided with a Student Assessment Booklet at the commencement of each unit of competency.
Graduates may undertake further study in Business and Management streams at the Advanced Diploma or Graduate Certificate/Diploma levels or Degree studies, including the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management. Career opportunities include positions in office management, personnel management, business development management, and accounts management, with graduates most often employed as Managers, Professionals, and Clerical and Administrative Workers.
