To enter this qualification, applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have completed Australian Year 12 or its equivalent, and have suitable English language skills including an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent (with no band less than 5.5) or undertake an English Language test prior to enrolment. Additionally, applicants must have either completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package, or have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role.
The Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420) has a course duration of 60 weeks, with intake dates available in January, April, July, and October, as well as mid-term intakes in February, May, August, and November.
The course is delivered face-to-face and online, with all courses scheduled at 20 hours per week — comprising 15 hours of face-to-face classroom-based delivery and 5 hours of online-based delivery. Students are expected to attend classes regularly to maintain satisfactory (50%) course progress each term.
Yes. BeQualified recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs and will accept and mutually recognise qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by any other registered training organisation. Credit Transfer can be granted for units where equivalence can be established. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available for skills and knowledge gained through work and life experience; suitability is determined based on your experience, work history, and previous training, and will be discussed during the entry process and interview stage.
Upon successful completion of BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management, graduates could seek employment opportunities in various business and commercial enterprises in roles such as Area Manager, Business Analyst, Business Development Director, Chief Executive Officer, Department Manager, Executive Director, Manager, Managing Director, Quarry Business Manager, and Senior Executive.
