The total course fee is AUD $28,650, which includes an Application Processing Fee of $250 (non-refundable, to be paid on application), Tuition Fees of AUD $28,000, and Materials Fees of AUD $400. Study materials are provided to students by CCMT and are included in the total course fees.
For a beginner student, this qualification is delivered over 104 weeks, including 80 weeks of training and assessment and 24 weeks of holiday. However, if a student holds the CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health qualification, they may complete this diploma qualification in 39 weeks (30 weeks of training and assessment and 9 weeks of holiday).
Yes, to achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 240 hours of work placement. Students will complete work placement over 12 weeks, and the trainer will visit the workplace 4 times to assess the student in real-time.
International students must have an overall IELTS score of 5.5 or an equivalent score in other English skills tests, and test results must be no more than 2 years old. However, students may be exempt from providing English test scores if they have completed at least five years' study in Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland; are citizens or passport holders of the UK, USA, Canada, NZ, or Republic of Ireland; or have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or 50% of the units of a Certificate IV or higher-level course in Australia in English within the two years before applying for a student visa.
Graduates of the CHC53415 Diploma of Leisure and Health can pursue roles such as Recreational Activities Officer, Diversional Therapist, Diversional Therapy Assistant, Community Leisure Officer, Community Leisure Coordinator, and Recreational Activities Coordinator. Students may also choose to continue their education into the CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management.
