Yes, the course includes real-world client work. In the unit 'Design and develop marketing communication plans' (BSBMKG552), you will be creating client briefs using a range of marketing communication options and media, giving you practical industry experience as part of your studies.
Students are required to have continual access to their own laptop computer during and outside of class. You will also need a subscription to the current version of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Yes, you may be eligible for Credit Transfers if you hold the same unit(s) from another provider. To be eligible, you must present your certified qualification at enrolment stage together with a completed 'Course Credit Form'. Once assessed, you will be notified of the outcome, and if your achieved units are equivalent, your CoE/course duration will be reduced according to the time needed to complete the outstanding units.
The course is delivered through a combination of Face-to-Face and Distance learning. Face-to-Face delivery requires 15 hours per week on the Gold Coast campus, while Distance learning requires 5 hours per week. Online learning is facilitated through Canvas, an online learning portal where you can access course materials, assessment requirements, marked submissions, and communicate with your Mentor outside of timetabled hours.
