Entry to this qualification is limited to those who have completed specific units including BSBCMM411, BSBCRT412, BSBMKG433, BSBMKG435, BSBMKG439, and BSBWRT411 (or equivalent competencies), or have two years of equivalent full-time relevant work experience, are 18 years or older, and have completed Year 12 or its equivalent with suitable English language skills. International students must also demonstrate English ability at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
After completing the Diploma of Marketing and Communication (BSB50620), students can pathway into the BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication or a range of Advanced Diploma level qualifications within the BSB Business Services Training Package, or other Training Packages.
The course is delivered 67% face-to-face and 33% online. Online learning is delivered via an eLearning management system (Moodle), which supports both synchronous delivery (live online lecture sessions and live support sessions where students interact with trainers in real time) and asynchronous delivery (pre-recorded lectures, presentations, discussion forums, trainer notes, and handouts). Students need access to the internet and a computer, iPad, or smartphone to participate.
Usually within 10 working days a student can receive the outcome and feedback on their assessments. Trainers and Assessors can be contacted during timetabled hours, and all communication should be via the eLearning platform.
