The qualification is delivered over 78 weeks in total, including 54 weeks of training and assessment spread over 6 terms of 9 weeks each, plus 24 weeks of holidays.
The total course fee is AUD $16,200, plus a non-refundable enrolment fee of $300 to be paid on application. Non-tuition fees may also apply and can be found at www.ctic.com.au. Course fees do not include computer software or textbooks, which are to be purchased at the student's own cost.
Entry is limited to students who have completed BSB42415 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication, or have completed specific equivalent units including BSBCMM411, BSBCRT412, BSBMKG433, BSBMKG435, BSBMKG439, and BSBWRT411, or have two years of equivalent full-time relevant work experience. International students must also be at least 18 years of age, have completed at least the equivalent of Year 12, and have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (no more than 2 years old).
Students who complete this course may wish to further their study into the BSB60520 – Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication or a range of other Advanced Diploma qualifications.
Assessment methods used for this qualification provide a range of ways for individuals to demonstrate that they have met the required outcomes, including projects, presentations, report writing, observations, and questioning (oral or written). At the beginning of each unit, trainers will outline the assessment tasks that must be completed.
