This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to identify, evaluate and take advantage of marketing opportunities by analysing market data, distinguishing characteristics of possible markets and assessing viability of changes to operations.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to identify and evaluate a range of marketing communication mediums to design and develop marketing communication plans.

Entry is limited to those who have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies) or the BSBSS00107 Marketing and Communication Foundations Skill Set: BSBCMM411 Make presentations; BSBCRT412 Articulate, present and debate ideas; BSBMKG433 Undertake marketing activities; BSBMKG435 Analyse consumer behaviour; BSBMKG439 Develop and apply knowledge of communications industry; and BSBWRT411 Write complex documents. Alternatively, applicants with two years of equivalent full-time relevant work experience may also be eligible.
The full fee for the course is $5,535. Payment options include upfront payment, a payment plan for those who have difficulty paying the full cost upfront, or a VET Student Loan (with a cap of $12,858). Note that the Australian Government charges full fee-paying students a 20 per cent loan fee in addition to tuition fees, and a VET Student Loan is a debt that must be repaid.
The course is delivered entirely online via an online virtual classroom format, with 100% of content delivered online and 0% on campus. Classes are conducted in real time via a scheduled timetable, with 2 x evening Zoom sessions per week. Students are also expected to undertake additional self-directed study to complete course requirements. Learning materials are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week from the first day of the study period.
