To enter the BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication, students must be at least 18 years of age and have completed year 12 or equivalent, participate in a course entry interview, and demonstrate English proficiency (IELTS 6+ or equivalent). Additionally, students must have completed BSB42415 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication, the specified prerequisite units, or have two years of equivalent full-time relevant work experience.
Training is delivered using a blended approach, combining face-to-face training, online sessions, and work placement. Face-to-face sessions are held in the classroom with 15 hours per week dedicated to face-to-face training and an additional 5 hours of trainer-led online sessions, totalling 20 hours per week.
To achieve the BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication, students must complete 13 units in total — 6 core units and 7 elective units selected from the training package.
Students who complete the Diploma of Marketing and Communication may wish to continue their education into the BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication or a range of Advanced Diploma qualifications at Alice Springs College of Australia, as well as higher education qualifications in marketing and communication within other institutions.
The Diploma of Marketing and Communication is offered at two campuses: the NT Campus located at 140 Gap Road, The Gap, Alice Springs, NT 0870, and the Sydney Campus located at Level 15, 7 Deane Street, Burwood, NSW 2134.
