The Diploma of Mental Health at EQUALS takes up to 52 weeks to complete, with intakes available in January, May, July, and October.
For domestic students, the standard tuition fee is $8,995 (plus an amenities fee of $350). Eligible domestic students may access government subsidised training at a reduced fee of $700 (plus an amenities fee of $350). International students pay a tuition fee of $12,950 plus a student services fee of $250 and an amenities fee of $350.
Yes, this course includes a minimum of 160 hours of industry placement, typically performed on a part-time basis during the course. Please note that a current and valid DCSI Screening Check must be acquired prior to industry placement, and current First Aid certification may also be required at the discretion of the industry host.
Students who complete the Diploma of Mental Health may be eligible for entry into higher education courses in areas such as Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Human Services and Applied Public Health. VET pathways include the Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management CHC62015.
Yes. If you have related prior education and experiences, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If you have successfully completed units of competency from this qualification previously, you may be eligible for National Recognition (Credit Transfer). EQUALS encourages prospective students to inquire about these pathways at the time of application.
