The full fee for domestic students is $13,320 for the total course. International students pay $16,000. Payment options include upfront payment, a payment plan for those who have difficulty paying upfront, and a VET Student Loan (capped at $19,290) for eligible domestic students.
Yes, vocational placement is compulsory. You are required to complete a minimum of 160 hours of vocational placement in an approved setting. You will also need to work shifts determined by your placement provider, which can include early mornings or late nights, any day of the week, including public holidays. TAFE Queensland may be able to assist in arranging suitable placements.
To successfully satisfy all course requirements you will be required to complete a NDIS Screening Check and a Blue Card (Working with Children Check). Vaccinations may also be required by the owner or operator of the facility providing your placement.
Yes. If you want to go on to further study at university, TAFE Queensland has a pathway option to get you there. In many cases, completing one of our diplomas may give you a full year of credit towards a degree with one of our partner universities.
Yes. This program is comprised of units which include topics covering sensitive material and discussion, such as mental health, substance misuse, trauma including family violence, suicide and self-harm. Due to the sensitive and complex nature of the course content, it is highly recommended that students are aged 18 or over by the course commencement date and are self-motivated with sound English skills.
