Yes, work placement is required. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 160 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. Before commencing work placement, learners are required to provide a Working with Children Check when required and a Federal Police Check (name check), no more than 6 months, when required.
