The total fees for the Diploma of Mental Health are AUD 31,750, which includes a Tuition Fee of AUD 30,000, an Enrolment Fee of AUD 250, and a Material Fee of AUD 1,500.
Yes, all students enrolled in this course must undertake 160 hours of vocational (work) placement as part of the qualification requirements.
Yes, students who have completed relevant studies or have some of the competencies in the course may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Applications can be made with the initial application or within two weeks of course commencement using the RPL Application Form and supporting documents. Please note that RPL cannot result in an international student having less than a full-time load of study (20 hours per week) but can reduce the overall duration of the course and fees.
International students must have an IELTS score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of being educated for 5 years in an English speaking country or by successfully completing an English Placement Test. Other tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted if results are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
Students who complete the Diploma of Mental Health may wish to continue their education into the CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling, CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services, Mental Health Practice, and other related qualifications.
