No. The Diploma of Musical Theatre is available as a 1 year full time or 2 years part time course for advanced dancers, OR as a 2 years full time course for students of any standard from beginner to advanced, so dancers at all levels are welcome to apply.
Yes. Auditions for Diploma courses are by appointment. Once Dance Factory receives your application, an audition time will be arranged.
All of Dance Factory's accredited courses offer students a range of State and Federal Government financial support and benefits, including Austudy/Abstudy for Australian students, Youth Allowance for Australian students under 24, a Student Travel Concession, a Relocation Allowance, and CRICOS accreditation for international students. The qualification also enables credit transfer to other institutions.
Dance Factory produces four performances each year, one per term, in a range of situations — from studio to cabaret to theatre — as practical performance in front of an audience is a key element of Dance Factory courses.
Yes. The course is available part time over 2 years, with 8–12 classes per week depending on the course. Students can choose from day, evening, and Saturday timetable options to fit around work, school, or university.
