Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency with an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall with no band less than 6.0. Equivalent tests are also accepted, including TOEFL iBT (overall 83, with minimum sub-scores), PTE Academic (58 overall), OET (C+ in all bands), Duolingo (115 overall), and others. English Language Test results are valid for two years from the date of the results up to the date of commencement at the Institute, and the most recent test result supersedes all previous tests.
Part-time study is available for domestic students only, taking 2 years (4 semesters) to complete. International students on a student visa who are not Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, or temporary residents of Australia are not eligible for part-time mode and must study full-time, completing the course in 1 year (2 semesters).
The course is delivered at multiple campuses: Level 16, 233 Castlereagh Street, Sydney NSW 2000; 107 George St, Parramatta NSW 2150; 363 King Street, West Melbourne VIC 3003; and Level 1, West, 237 Ryrie Street, Geelong VIC 3220.
The Institute uses authentic assessment principles that may include practical exercises, case studies, presentations, reports, online simulations, essays, and examinations. Some assessments may be conducted under invigilation.
Yes, the Institute grants credit for prior learning (Advance Standing) to ensure students are not required to repeat equivalent learning successfully undertaken in another context. Advanced Standing is limited to a maximum of 4 of the 100-level units. The process for applying can be found in the Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure. Note that your course fees and duration may vary if you have been granted Advanced Standing.
