Diploma of Nursing

Domestic Students:

• All learners must be at least 18 years of age at course commencement and complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test using the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB), achieving a minimum exit Level 3, working at Level 4 in numeracy and literacy.
• English language requirements follow the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) standard; domestic learners with English as their primary language need at least six years of primary and secondary education taught and assessed in English in a recognised country, including at least two years between Years 7 and 12.
• Applicants must meet the inherent requirements for the course (the abilities, knowledge and skills needed to complete it).
• Credit transfer and recognition of prior learning are judged on a case-by-case basis for units already completed at another Registered Training Organisation.

International Students:

• Learners must demonstrate the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's specified level of English, meeting one of: IELTS Academic overall 7.0 (Listening 7, Reading 7, Speaking 7, Writing 6.5); Cambridge C1 Advanced (overall 178); Cambridge C2 Proficiency (overall 185); OET; PTE Academic (overall 63); or TOEFL iBT (overall 91).
• International learners must have passes at Year 12 or the overseas equivalent, including Mathematics, and must be at least 18 years of age within 6 months of course commencement.
• Before undertaking clinical placement, learners must provide a current Australian National Police Records Check, a police check from their overseas country of residence (translated), an NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check, and declare their health and immunisation status including a COVID-19 booster (recommended, no longer mandatory).
• Applicants must also meet the course's inherent requirements, with reasonable adjustments considered where possible.
