On completion of the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), enabling you to work as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) in hospital, aged care or other community health settings. Potential roles include Enrolled Nurse (average salary: $65,642 - $95,186), Acute Care, Aged Care (average salary: $65,754 - $124,488), and Chronic Care. 95% of Nursing graduates are employed within 12 months.
The course is delivered on campus and in a blended format across four campus locations: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane. Students spend time developing practical skills on campus and can also study theory online. International students on a student visa must study at least one subject face to face in each trimester and must not enrol in more than 33% of online subjects over their course.
The Diploma of Nursing comprises 25 units, consisting of 20 core subjects and 5 electives. Assessments may include knowledge questions, case studies, role play, demonstrations, observation, simulations and projects.
