The Diploma of Nursing runs for 2 years, including clinical placement and holiday breaks. Clinical placement duration is 400 to 480 hours, delivered across four (4) clinical placement blocks arranged by the School at partnered host facilities.
You must meet one of the NMBA English Language Skills Registration (ELSR) Standard pathways. The Primary Language Pathway requires at least six (6) years of primary and secondary education taught and assessed solely in English in a recognised country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom, or United States of America), including at least two (2) years between years 7 and 12. The English Language Test Pathway requires minimum scores such as IELTS Academic 7.0 overall (7.0 in Listening, Reading and Speaking; 6.5 in Writing), OET Online B overall (B in Listening, Reading and Speaking; C+ in Writing), PTE Academic 66 overall (66 in Listening, Reading and Speaking; 56 in Writing), or TOEFL iBT 94 overall (24 in Listening, Reading and Writing; 23 in Speaking).
Domestic fee options include: Subsidised SA at $13,892.98, Concession SA at $10,599.98, FEE FREE First Nations (SA) at no fee, Jobs and Skills Subsidy WA Fee Free (tuition fees are fully subsidised, not including the resource fee of $2,130.54), and a Full Course Fee of $26,500.00. VET Student Loan eligibility may also apply.
Assessment methods for the Diploma of Nursing include case studies, logbook and portfolios, practical skills assessments, quizzes and multiple-choice questions, role plays, third party observations, and written assignments.
Yes, the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing is a Nationally Recognised qualification. It is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and the program is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
