Common Questions
Upon successfully completing the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing and meeting the UOW progression requirements, you are guaranteed a place in the Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Wollongong, with up to one year of credit (entry into second year). Please note that students must also achieve NMBA registration as an Enrolled Nurse prior to Bachelor of Nursing commencement.
Yes, UOW College offers an HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing Scholarship, which provides a 10% tuition fee waiver. All applicants are automatically assessed for a scholarship during the application process, and if successful, the scholarship will be included in the offer letter.
Students must meet the English language entry requirements for the Diploma of Nursing. For students who do not meet these requirements, UOW College offers package options that combine English Language courses (such as English for Academic Purposes or English for Tertiary Studies) with the Diploma course. The required IELTS score and corresponding English course duration will depend on your current level of English proficiency.
