Diploma of Nursing

Domestic Students:

1. Must turn 18 years of age by the end of their first semester of training
2. Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent level of schooling
3. Must demonstrate competency at Exit Level 3 in the LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) assessment
4. Must meet the NMBA's English Language Registration Standard (declaration of English as primary language, or an approved test result)
5. Required to provide a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and immunisation record meeting WA Department of Health requirements prior to Professional Experience Placement

International Students:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of course commencement
2. Completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent level of schooling overseas, or AQF Level 3 or higher qualification
3. Must demonstrate competency at Exit Level 3 in the LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) assessment
4. Must meet the NMBA's English Language Registration Standard via an approved English test taken within 2 years of application:
5. IELTS Academic – 7.0 (listening, reading, speaking), 6.5 (writing)
6. PTE Academic – 66 (listening, reading, speaking), 56 (writing)
7. OET – B (listening, reading, speaking), C+ (writing)
8. TOEFL iBT – 94 total (listening 24, reading 24, writing 24, speaking 23)
9. Required to provide a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and immunisation record meeting WA Department of Health requirements prior to Professional Experience Placement

• Enrolled Nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
• Roles across aged care, hospitals, disability care and primary health settings
• Pathway to further study as a Registered Nurse at university
• 1-year advanced standing into a Bachelor of Nursing at Edith Cowan University for eligible graduates
