The course is delivered over a period of 78 weeks, equating to 54 contact study weeks plus 24 weeks for holidays.
The course is delivered via blended learning at 20 hours per week, comprising 14 hours face to face in the classroom plus 6 hours online study.
Assessment is competency based. Students are required to complete written and practical tasks, which reflect the requirements of the units of competency and current workplace practices. Assessment is continuous throughout the duration of the course, and students are provided with a Student Assessment Booklet at the commencement of each unit of competency.
To enrol in the Diploma of Project Management, students must be 18 years of age or over, have satisfactorily completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, and have an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or complete and pass the HIA English Assessment.
Graduates can seek employment as a Project Manager or continue their studies into higher education, such as the BSB60720 Advanced Diploma of Program Management or a Bachelor's program in the same field.
