Diploma of Project Management

In today's world, businesses are run with projects and most organisations have employees working across a range of projects, so regardless of whether a graduate builds a career in marketing, accounting, management, IT or another field, they will need to work within projects. The Diploma of Project Management (BSB50820) at Academies Australasia Polytechnic develops the skills and knowledge to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a project from start to finish. Delivered on campus over four terms (36 college weeks), the course works methodically through the full project management body of knowledge: managing project scope, time, quality and cost; managing project human resources and project risk; managing project information and communication; and managing project integration and project procurement. Broader business units round out the qualification, covering the management of business resources, team effectiveness, and the development of workplace policies and procedures for sustainability. The Diploma is also the standard entry pathway into the Advanced Diploma of Program Management (BSB60720), which lifts the focus from single projects to whole programs of work.
