The Diploma of Project Management is delivered over up to 52 weeks, with classes scheduled for 45 weeks and 7 weeks allocated for breaks, extra tutorials, or reassessment as required by the individual student. Duration may vary based on mode of delivery and/or RPL and Credit Transfer.
Assessment methods for this qualification include Guided Online Learning and Training (GOLT), written questions, projects, observations, presentations, case studies, reports, and practical activities in a simulated environment. GOLT are online, auto-marked summative assessments such as True/False, Fill-in-the-Blanks, and Multiple-Choice questions.
International students are required to have an IELTS band score of overall 6 (Academic or General) or equivalent in line with the Department of Education and the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) regulations. Learners are also required to be competent in written and spoken English and will undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to commencing the training.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. Occupation titles may include Project Manager, Project Team Leader, Project Vendor Manager, and Project Contract Manager.
After completing the BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management, students may progress to the BSB60720 Advanced Diploma of Program Management, BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management, BSB80220 Graduate Diploma of Portfolio Management, or BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning).
