About This Course

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Project Manager and Project Team Leader. Individuals in these roles have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.

Requirements

Have demonstrated an IELTS level at score of least 6 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old) or demonstration of successful completion of at least General English at Upper Intermediate or English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level.
Have a suitable level of language, literacy and numeracy to complete course requirements with or without additional support that Britts College Pty Ltd. is able to provide.
Have successfully completed Australian year 11 or equivalent.
Are at least at age of 18 on the date of course commencement.
All the students commencing this course are required to complete an LLN Test on the orientation day to assist Britts College Pty Ltd. to identify student's needs for additional support during their study with Britts College Pty Ltd.

How many units do I need to complete to achieve the BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management?

A total of 12 units (8 Core and 4 Electives) must be completed and deemed competent to achieve the qualification BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management.

What further study pathways are available after completing this Diploma?

The further study pathways available include BSB60720 Advanced Diploma of Program Management, as well as other Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas or Degree programs in related fields such as Business and/or Management, subject to meeting entry requirements of the intended qualification.

What assessment methods are used in this course?

Assessment methods generally include practical observation of tasks, written or oral questioning, case studies, role plays, reports, research projects, presentations, etc.

Can I receive credit for units I have already completed elsewhere?

You may be eligible for Credit Transfer if you are able to demonstrate that you have achieved competency in the same or equivalent unit/s in a Nationally Recognised Training from any Registered Training Organisation.

What happens if I complete some units but not the full qualification?

Participants who achieve competency in any unit/s will receive a Statement of Attainment (provided USI is verified) for that unit/s without completing all 12 units in the qualification.
