Communication and Negotiations
Covers effective communication with individuals and groups from different parts of the world, negotiation strategies, conflict resolution, and models for securing cooperation and agreement in competitive environments. Explores a broad spectrum of negotiation strategies and new tactics to solve ongoing differences.
People, Culture and Agile Leadership
Develops understanding of the influence culture, politics and power have on behaviour in an organisational context. Covers team dynamics, the Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment, and agile leadership to leverage turbulence and cultivate a flexible, responsive and collaborative culture at work.
Organisational Context and Roles in Project Management
Examines the internal and external organisational context in which projects are formed, executed, supported and evaluated. Covers stakeholder engagement and the impact of organisational context on defining roles, responsibilities and collaboration required by a project team for successful delivery.
Project Management Principles
Provides insights and principles of best practices in project management, offering clear methods and an overview of standards associated with successful project management. Explores tools, techniques, skills and language used by practitioners as recognised by the Project Management Institute and the Australian Institute of Project Management.

You will study 4 core units: MBA4002 Communication and Negotiations, MBA4004 People, Culture and Agile Leadership, MPM4001 Organisational Context and Roles in Project Management, and MPM4003 Project Management Principles. Each unit is worth 10 credit points, for a total of 40 credit points required for the award.
The course has multiple intakes throughout the year: February, March, May, June, August, September, October, and November. For 2026 Semester 1 Block 4, classes start on 1 June 2026, with the last date to enrol also being 1 June 2026 and a census date of 8 June 2026.
Yes. Completion of the Graduate Certificate of Project Management provides direct entry and advanced standing into the Graduate Diploma of Project Management and the Master of Project Management at AIH. The Graduate Certificate is embedded within both the Graduate Diploma and Master of Project Management programs.
Full-time students will have approximately 8 hours of on-campus classes each week. In addition, students are expected to set aside a minimum of 10–12 hours per week in their own time to complete assignments, readings, projects, and prepare for quizzes and presentations.
Assessment types at AIH are practical, professionally focused, and research-based. Students can expect reports, project documentation, case studies and presentations, essays and assignments, quizzes, practicals and team-based projects, and Q&A activities.
