Communication and Negotiations
Covers effective communication and negotiation skills for global, cross-cultural roles. Topics include identifying negotiation opportunities, addressing conflicts, negotiation strategies, models for securing cooperation and agreement in competitive environments, and managing potential or existing conflict between individuals, groups and organisations.
People, Culture and Agile Leadership
Develops understanding of the influence culture, politics and power have on behaviour in organisational contexts. Covers team dynamics, agile leadership, the Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment, and cultivating a flexible, responsive and collaborative culture at work.
Organisational Context and Roles in Project Management
Explores the internal and external organisational context in which projects are formed, executed, supported and evaluated. Covers stakeholder engagement, organisational context's impact on roles, responsibilities, and collaboration required for successful project delivery.
Project Management Principles
Provides insights and principles of best practices in project management, including standards, tools, techniques, and language used by practitioners as recognised by bodies such as the Project Management Institute and the Australian Institute of Project Management. Focuses on contemporary issues and developing skills to professionally manage a range of projects.

The course has multiple intakes throughout the year: February, March, May, June, August, September, October, and November. For 2026, Semester 1 Block 4 has an orientation on 27 May 2026, with classes starting and last date to enrol on 1 June 2026, and a census date of 8 June 2026.
To complete the Graduate Certificate of Project Management, you need to pass 4 core units, each worth 10 credit points, for a total of 40 credit points. The 4 units are: MBA4002 Communication and Negotiations, MBA4004 People, Culture and Agile Leadership, MPM4001 Organisational Context and Roles in Project Management, and MPM4003 Project Management Principles.
If studying full-time, you will have approximately 8 hours of on-campus classes each week. In addition, you should set aside a minimum of 10–12 hours per week in your own time to complete assignments, readings, projects, and prepare for quizzes and presentations.
Completion of the Graduate Certificate of Project Management provides direct entry and advanced standing into both the Graduate Diploma of Project Management and the Master of Project Management at AIH. It is also designed as an exit qualification from those higher-level programs.
