The total course cost is $14,500, which includes a tuition fee of $13,800 and a non-tuition fee of $700. Course fees do not include uniform, PPE, safety shoes, laptops, or software. Students are also required to take out Overseas Health Insurance Cover (OSHC) before arriving in Australia.
The course runs for 104 weeks in total, comprising 88 study weeks (structured as 8 terms of 11 weeks each) and 16 weeks of holidays. Students attend 20 hours of classroom training and assessment per week, plus approximately 2 hours of unsupervised self-study per week, and must complete 200 hours of work placement over the duration of the course.
Assessments for this course may include written questions, projects, presentations, reports, role plays/observations, practical demonstrations, logbooks, and real massage sessions. At the beginning of each unit, your trainer and assessor will outline the specific assessment tasks that must be completed.
Applicants must have an IELTS score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through evidence of having been educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, or by having successfully completed a foundation course, Senior Secondary Certificate of Education, or a substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification in Australia within two years of the application date. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted if they are equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
You are required to bring your own laptop with Office 365 (or similar program) to all classes. These costs are not included in your course fees. The minimum PC requirements include an Intel or AMD 64-bit processor at 2 GHz or faster, Windows 10, 2 GB RAM (8 GB recommended), and 4 GB of available hard-disk space. For MacOS, a multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support running Big Sur or later is required. Software (Office 365) costs approximately $129 annually. Course fees also do not include uniform, PPE, or safety shoes.
