The Diploma of Remedial Massage is 52 weeks in duration, structured across two semesters: Semester 1 is a 20-week on-campus tuition period with 21 hours of classes per week, Semester 2 is a 20-week Industry Placement with no on-campus classes, and there are 12 weeks of holidays.
You must complete 21 units in total: 16 core units and 5 elective units. The elective units must include at least 1 unit from the Business Management group, with up to 4 units from the electives listed, any endorsed Training Package, or accredited course relevant to the work outcome.
Upon successful completion, graduates will be qualified to work as Qualified Remedial Masseurs or Remedial Masseur Consultants in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, spas, resorts, or running a successful private practice.
Yes, students will have the opportunity to complete a Work Placement Program (Industry Placement Semester), which runs for 20 weeks with no on-campus classes during that period. This gives students the chance to put their newly acquired skills into practice in a real-world setting.
During Semester 1 (on-campus tuition), students have paid work rights of up to 24 hours per week. During Semester 2 (Industry Placement), paid work rights increase to up to 49 hours per week. During the 12-week holiday period, paid work rights are unlimited.
