The course fee for international students ranges from $20,000 to $21,040 AUD. Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials range from $300 to $1,000 AUD per course.
Graduates of this course are eligible to apply for provisional Clean Energy Council (CEC) Grid-Connect Design Only accreditation.
The course consists of 8 core units: Foundation Studies in Renewable Energy and Sustainability (ENEGY101A), Introductory Engineering Mathematics (ENEMP103A), Foundation Physics (ENEMP104A), Introduction to Programming (ENEMP105A), Principles of Electrical Engineering (ENELE101A), Grid Connected Photovoltaic Power Systems (AEEGY101A), Energy Storage Systems (AEEGY103A), and Engineering Practices (ENPRA101A).
After completing this diploma, students can pursue vocational study pathways, a TAFE NSW degree pathway, TAFE NSW–university partnership pathways (which offer guaranteed entry and credit transfer to eligible students at a number of Australian universities), or other university pathways where acceptance and credit transfer may vary depending on the university and course studied.
Through a mix of theory and practical coursework, students will learn to analyse and measure basic circuits using a variety of techniques, design and apply Energy Storage Systems (Battery/Hydrogen/Pumped Hydro), research and implement a grid connected solar PV system with energy storage, produce basic AutoCAD drawings for a large scale concept design project, calculate energy output and monetary payback, apply maths, physics and Python programming related to engineering, and follow relevant health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) regulations.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
