About This Course

This qualification reflects the role of senior managers and small business owners of personal services businesses. They are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the business and for planning, monitoring and evaluating the work of the team. Salon managers also operate with significant autonomy to make strategic business management decisions. This qualification provides a pathway to work as a salon manager in any type of personal service business including hairdressing or beauty salons, barber shops and spas.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Student must have completed at least an Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
Depending upon the student's previous experiences and the nationality of studies, Year 11 (Australian Equivalent) may be sufficient.
The student must provide evidence of attaining an overall IELTS score of 6 bands, OR equivalent scores on a similar test (such as PTE, etc.), OR the student must have attained at least Upper Intermediate level of English and must provide evidence of the same, OR the student must pass Vibe's relevant Internal English Placement Test.
English Language Requirements Exemptions apply if:
- They are enrolled in full-time school studies as a principal course including in a secondary exchange programme, a postgraduate research course, a standalone ELICOS, and Foreign Affairs or Defence sponsored students.
- They have completed at least five years' study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
- They have, in the two years before applying for the student visa, completed in Australia and in the English language, either the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or a substantial component of a course leading to a qualification from the Australian Qualifications Framework at the Certificate IV or higher level, while holding a student visa.
