About This Course

The UNSW College Diploma of Science is a 12-month pathway program into the second year of the Bachelor of Science at UNSW Sydney, a global top 20 university with eight study areas ranked in the world's top 50, including Materials Science, Earth & Marine Sciences and Environmental Sciences. Developed in collaboration with UNSW Sydney, the curriculum requires Communication and Academic Literacy as its only fixed core course, plus seven electives chosen from Fundamentals of Mathematics B, Mathematics 1A/1B, Chemistry A/B, Evolutionary and Functional Biology, Molecules Cells and Genes, Applied Biomolecular Sciences, Physics 1A/1B (or Higher Physics), and Design and Application of Materials in Science and Engineering - tailored to your intended specialisation such as biotechnology, physics or environmental science. You'll study in small classes of around 20 students with up to 20% more teaching time than first year at UNSW Sydney, plus weekly tutor sessions and wellbeing support. On successful completion, you progress directly into second year of the Bachelor of Science and choose from a wide range of majors. Delivered on-campus at the Kensington campus, with access to the same facilities and resources as UNSW Sydney undergraduates.
