The Diploma of Science provides guaranteed* entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Marine Science at the University of Wollongong (UOW). You will gain the skills to succeed in your UOW bachelor and explore various concepts and skills in a variety of fundamental science disciplines. You will also graduate with a Higher Education Diploma to help get you into the workforce while completing your bachelor's degree. This course consists of three sessions, each lasting 14 weeks, and is offered by our pathway provider, UOW College Australia. *The guarantee is subject to meeting UOW entry requirements as described in the course outline.

The course consists of three sessions, each lasting 14 weeks. UOW College offers three intakes each year, giving you the flexibility to start your studies at different times throughout the year.
Applicants need a minimum ATAR of 35, or 4 HSC Subjects ≥65%, or 3 HSC Subjects ≥70%. Applicants who completed Year 12 or left school more than 2 years ago will be required to undertake a basic literacy online test. UOW College also considers VET qualifications and work and life experience on a case-by-case basis.
