This course uses industry-standard equipment and software including the RED digital cinema camera, DaVinci Resolve and the latest Affinity software. The Brisbane-based state-of-the-art facilities include a large dedicated film studio with green screens and both Windows and Mac computer labs.
You will learn how to create digital video content for the big and small screens, including feature films, documentaries, corporate videos, television commercials, music videos and web series, following standard pre-production, production and post-production processes.
To be awarded a Diploma of Screen and Media, competency must be achieved in all fifteen (15) units, comprising four core units and eleven elective units chosen by AIAS course coordinators.
Graduates can pursue careers as Video Editors, Post-Production Runners, Assistants, Sound Recordists, Editors, Producers, Directors, Art Directors, Assistant Directors, Gaffers, Camera Operators and Design & Media professionals. The Diploma also provides the opportunity to develop an online video channel to showcase your work for entry-level employment in the screen industry or to promote your skills for freelance projects.
