Yes. Upon completion of the Diploma of Screen Media, you are eligible to gain direct entry into Trimester 3 of the Bachelor of Screen Media degree. The Diploma provides 60 credit points of the 180 credit points required for the full Bachelor qualification.
Yes. The Diploma of Screen Media is fully FEE-HELP enabled. FEE-HELP is a government loan scheme available to Australian Citizens or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa who are enrolled in a higher education course. It can be used to pay all or part of tuition fees, but cannot be used for equipment, materials, accommodation or living expenses. FEE-HELP is not available for international students, who pay tuition fees up-front on a per-trimester basis.
The total tuition fee for the Diploma of Screen Media is $22,400 for domestic students (covering 2 trimesters, Tier 1 and Tier 2, totalling 60 credit points). International student fees are paid up-front on a per-trimester basis; refer to the International Students fee schedule PDF for specific amounts.
The Diploma of Screen Media covers Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the Screen Media course structure. Tier 1 includes Folio 1: Genre and Narrative (FSM111), Production 1: Camera (PSM111), Context 1: Histories of Image-Making (TCP122), and Post-Production 1: Editing & Grading (DXP112). Tier 2 includes Folio 2: Experimental Moving Image (FSM122), Production 2: Cinematography (PSM121), Context 2: Design Theory (TCP111), and Post-Production 2: SFX (DXP122).
International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following examinations: IELTS (Academic Module), TOEFL Internet, Pearson's Test of English (PTE), or Cambridge Test. Evidence of the test result must be provided with the application. The English language qualification must have been achieved no earlier than two years prior to the commencement of the course.
