Common Questions
The course is delivered on campus at South Bank in Greater Brisbane, through TAFE Queensland's Academy of Sport in partnership with peak sporting organisations including the Brisbane Bullets, Football Queensland, Gymnastics Queensland, Hockey Queensland, Queensland Rugby Union and the Royal Queensland Lawn Tennis Association.
Students complete 100 hours of hands-on work experience with industry partners across various sporting organisations and elite sporting facilities, offering invaluable professional insights and expertise.
The full fee for domestic students is $14,840. International students pay a total course fee of $20,400. Payment options include upfront payment, a payment plan, and a VET Student Loan with a $19,290 cap.
Domestic students are invited to complete a Skills Check after applying, with recommended benchmark levels of 4 in English, 4 in Maths and 4 in Digital Technology. International students require Academic IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5) or equivalent, completion of Year 12 or equivalent, and must be at least 17 years of age, turning 18 during their first year of study.
Graduates are prepared for roles such as Sport Development Manager, Community Coach, High Performance Coach and Talent Manager, working across a variety of positions in the sports industry, with pathways to further study.
