Common Questions
The tuition fee is $18,500.00 for international students, $15,950.00 for international students studying onshore (discounted), and $13,200.00 for domestic students. There is also a non-refundable initial application processing fee of $50.00 and an amenity fee of $300.00. If you choose to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), RPL charges $1,466 per unit in addition to the initial application processing fee.
Entry points include holding a CPP50116 or CPP50121 Diploma of Surveying, or demonstrated relevant vocational experience, skills and knowledge commensurate with the scope of work covered in the CPP50121 Diploma of Surveying. At a minimum, SRDITA requires numeracy skills and English reading, writing and spoken language skills at Australian Year 10 or equivalent, or IELTS 5.5 for international learners. Learners must also have access to a computer and the internet, possess basic computer skills, and complete SRDITA's assessment of LLN Level 5 and Digital Skills.
The course starts on February 1, 2027 and runs for 49 weeks, including a 4-week break.
SRDITA delivers 9 units for the Advanced Diploma of Surveying, consisting of 2 core units and 7 elective units. The core units are BSBPMG536 Manage project risk and CPPSSI6032 Conduct advanced GNSS control surveys. Electives can be chosen from Group A (Land and Engineering) or Group B (Mining), or up to 2 of the 7 elective units may be selected from any current training package provided they contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
As an advanced diploma holder, you can secure a job as a survey technician, surveyor, or senior surveyor, depending on your performance. Employment in middle-level positions within the surveying sector will also be achievable. Surveying skills are applied in various industry contexts, including town planning, civil construction, mining, engineering, agriculture and defence. The course will also give learners access to further education at the degree level.
