Common Questions
The qualification requires the completion of 23 units of competency which includes 13 core and 10 electives.
International students must demonstrate at least an upper-intermediate level of English proficiency, such as an IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent score from other recognised tests, including TOEFL iBT: 60-78, Cambridge English Exams (B2 First FCE / C1 Advanced CAE): 169 or above on the Cambridge scale, PTE Academic: 52-58, or an English proficiency of upper intermediate level or above from any NEAS accredited ELICOS provider.
Graduates may pursue roles such as Inbound groups manager, Inbound sales manager, Tour operations manager, Marketing manager, Product development manager, Reservations manager, Travel agency manager, Sales manager, and Visitor information centre manager.
The course duration is 104 weeks, which is made up of 80 contact weeks plus 24 weeks of holiday breaks.
Students can progress to study SIT60122 Advanced Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management after successfully completing this qualification.
