Domestic students must have completed Year 12 or equivalent, and hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety as a pre-requisite. International students must additionally be 18 years or older and have an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.
For domestic fee-for-service students, the tuition fee is $3,800 with a resource fee of $175 for Face-to-Face delivery (52 weeks), or $2,500 with a resource fee of $175 for Flexi-Learn delivery (12 months). Note that AIWT will not accept prepaid fees exceeding $1,500 at any one time. Additional resource fees may be required for safety equipment.
International students are charged a tuition fee of $9,500, a resource fee of $495, and an application fee of $250 for Face-to-Face delivery over 12 months. AIWT does not collect more than 50% of the total tuition fee unless the student or their sponsor requests otherwise in writing. Prepaid fees are protected through the Tuition Protection Service (TPS).
The course is available via Face-to-Face delivery (2 days per week class contact and online resources, 52 weeks for domestic students) or Flexi-Learn (a combination of self-paced learning and face-to-face trainer support available by appointment, 12 months). International students are offered Face-to-Face delivery over 12 months.
Graduates may pursue roles such as Occupational Risk Manager, Occupational Health and Safety/WHS Officer, Coordinator, or Manager. The course is particularly beneficial for industry employees at a supervisor or higher level looking to upskill and/or achieve a formal qualification.
