Common Questions
To enrol in the 11150NAT Diploma of Yoga Teaching, you must have completed a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching, be at least 18 years of age, and meet the English language requirements — either through an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no individual band below 5.5), an ALG in-house English proficiency test equivalent to IELTS 6.0, or completion of the LLN online test.
By completing the 11150NAT Diploma of Yoga Teaching, you will qualify to register as a Level 2 accredited teacher with Yoga Australia — 500 hours of training. Australian Learning Group is accredited with Yoga Australia, the peak body for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, yoga teacher trainers, and yoga therapy trainers in Australia.
The course is timetabled for 52 weeks, including 40 weeks of training and assessment across 4 terms of 10 weeks, and 12 weeks of holidays. Each week requires 20 hours of training and assessment — 14 hours of weekly classroom training and 6 hours of structured study — plus an additional 10 hours per week for self-directed learning. Assessments include short answer questions, case studies, presentations, role plays and practical demonstrations in a simulated environment, and projects.
Training takes place on campus in Melbourne and Sydney. Both campuses are equipped with on-site yoga studios for hands-on training. Intakes are available in January, April, July, and October.
Graduates of the 11150NAT Diploma of Yoga Teaching can pursue various career paths in the health and wellness industry, including roles such as yoga teacher, yoga program coordinator, yoga group instructor, yoga studio manager, and yoga studio owner. The course also covers yoga business practices to support those interested in starting their own yoga business.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
