In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to provide guidance, develop support networks, and create safe spaces for youth facing challenges. You’ll explore areas such as case management, program development, mental health support, and cultural diversity — gaining the confidence to work in a range of community and youth services settings. As part of the qualification, you’ll also complete a minimum of 100 hours supervised vocational placement, where you’ll apply your skills in real youth work environments such as community centres, schools, outreach programs, and residential services. During placement, you’ll work alongside experienced youth workers, engage directly with young people, and develop practical experience in assessment, engagement, risk management, and service delivery.
