Doctor of Business Administration

The Doctor of Business Administration is a 3-year program structured over 6 semesters, where each semester consists of 12 teaching weeks, plus one review week and one study week.

To qualify for the award of Doctor of Business Administration, a candidate shall accrue an aggregate of at least 240 credit points, including satisfactory completion of 4 core coursework units (40 credit points) and a 50,000-word Doctoral thesis (200 credit points).

For international students, the tuition fee is AUD $3,750 per unit, with total course fees of AUD $90,000, a non-refundable deposit of AUD $500, and AUD $15,000 payable upfront prior to the issue of Confirmation of Enrolment. For domestic students, the tuition fee is AUD $3,000 per unit, with total course fees of AUD $72,000, a non-refundable one-time application fee of AUD $500, and AUD $15,000 payable upfront.

Applicants whose entry qualifications were obtained in an institution where English is not the language of instruction normally require an International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) score of 6.5, with a score of not less than 6.0 in any of the four skill areas, or equivalent.

Graduates will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of concepts and theories related to original business administration research, select and apply appropriate research methodologies to provide original solutions to business problems, integrate ethical decision making in business research, communicate complex knowledge and creative ideas to specialist and non-specialist audiences, and autonomously plan and execute an externally graded research thesis/portfolio that makes a creative and original contribution to the field of business administration.
