The course comprises research and thesis development activities as outlined in the course rules.

The Doctor of Education (EdD) is a doctoral course of supervised research and research tasks designed for professional practitioners/educators, comprising structured research tasks, proposal development, and a thesis, which makes a significant original contribution to knowledge. This contribution can be in the form of new knowledge, or of significant and original adaptation, application and interpretation of existing knowledge.
Applications are open year-round. You should first check that you meet the course requirements, then submit a preliminary proposal. Your preliminary proposal will be received by the School of Graduate Research team and directed to the relevant academic School for review and identification of available supervisors. If your preliminary proposal is accepted, you will be invited to prepare a full research proposal in collaboration with your nominated supervisory team.
