In Years 1 and 2, students explore the fundamentals of human biology, chemistry, physiology, genetics, and psychology, building a strong foundation in health and medical science. From Year 3 onwards, the focus shifts to hands-on clinical training in hospitals and community settings, with opportunities to gain research experience or complete advanced coursework. Year 6 involves intensive clinical placements, professional induction, and preparation for internship and future medical practice.
International students must meet the following English language requirements: IELTS overall 7.0 with a minimum of 7.0 in each of Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Reading; or Pearson overall score of 65.
Graduates can pursue specialist training or explore careers in research, public health, global health, or health administration. Immediate career pathways include General Practitioner, with a typical salary of $225K in Australia and 1,161 job opportunities in 2025. With further postgraduate study and work experience, graduates could become Surgeons, Paediatricians, Cardiologists, or Psychiatrists.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
