The program requires you to uncover new knowledge either by the discovery of new facts, the formulation of theories, or the innovative reinterpretation of known data and established ideas. At least two-thirds of the study program must involve research, with the main part of your work being a thesis written under the guidance of a supervisor and associate supervisor(s). The thesis must be a substantial original contribution to knowledge and demonstrate your capacity to conceive, design, and complete independent research.
Australian citizens, permanent residents and New Zealand citizens who are successful applicants of a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program are eligible for a tuition fee exemption under the Australian Government's Research Training Program (RTP), covering up to four years of full-time equivalent study for Doctoral or PhD programs.
Curtin requires all applicants to demonstrate proficiency in English. For this course, the IELTS Academic requirement is an overall band score of 6.5, with minimum scores of 6.5 in each of the four components: Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening.
Admission to the doctoral degree is for a minimum period of two years and a maximum period of four years of equivalent full-time study. The course is available both full-time and part-time.
Throughout your studies, Curtin's faculties will provide you with access to equipment and resources to support your research, as well as financial assistance to attend appropriate local and international conferences. Curtin is also widely recognised for applied research with strong partnerships with industry, business and government.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
